The longer I spend on the internet researching the god Pauahtun the more perculiar the search becomes. Not insofar as the stories are strange, since all myths are a bit bizarre, but rather, because the information seems to disappear more and more each time I look. The following images are taken from the Mayan Date Calculator made by the Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian. I used this tool for a number for calculations in this project but I also accessed a number of resource. None of these resources compared to this website i found linked in in the resource section pauahtun.org. Unfortunately, as quickly as i found it, the website disappeared.
Then shortly after, the Mayan Date Calculators numbering broke for the lords of night. Now, the Wikipedia page for Pauahtun has also vanished.
It’s strange but best not to dwell on it, I think because, luckily, the site was archived. Access it here.
